Nick Cannon opens up about living with Lupus

ON THE MEND: Nick Cannon opens up about health problems

NICK CANNON has opened up for the first time since he was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, Lupus.

The 31-year-old media mogul, who is married to Mariah Carey, has reportedly revealed that his recent hospitalisation was a result of kidney disease that stemmed from the illness.

The news come after the father-of-two announced that he was forced to quit his radio hosting job on 92.3 NOW FM, due to his deteriorating health.

Cannon told Access Hollywood: “I’m doing great. I feel better than I’ve ever felt before and everybody’s like, ‘Are you okay?’ ‘Cause it’s like, I’m talking about my condition more but I feel better than ever.”

He continued: “There was those times, obviously sitting in the hospital, when you’re alone and you’re thinking, ‘How did I get here?’”

“But even though doctors and different people may have been talking about life threatening situations, it never really registered to me that I was gonna fall, it was like ‘Yo! You’re gonna get over this and you’re gonna be good,'" he added.

Cannon was admitted to hospital in Febuary battling 'mild' kidney failure.
