Nigerian Eagle will become a Fox

FOXY: Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa

LEICESTER CITY are close to signing Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa, the player’s agent has revealed.

Tony Harris, Musa’s advisor, told BBC Sport that the 23-year-old will undergo a medical on Wednesday, ahead of his move to the Premier League champions from CSKA Moscow.

Musa has scored 54 goals in 168 games for the Russian side and is expected to command a Foxes club-record fee.

It has been reported the transfer will be around the £16m-mark, which would surpass the £12m which manager Claudio Ranieri recently paid for midfielder Nampalys Mendy from Nice.

Leicester have been linked with the Nigerian hotshot, who can play out wide or up front, for quite some time and reportedly had a £19m offer rejected in January.
CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky told Russian media that Musa will be leaving his side.

He added: "If you look at the way things are done over there, you'll see he is a player just made for English football."

Since making his international debut in 2010, Musa has scored 11 times in 58 appearances for Nigeria.
