'No' to overseas aid

THE MAJORITY of Voice Online readers who responded to yesterday's poll believe that the Government should cut the amount of aid it gives to developing nations.

Fifty-two percent of those who responded to our poll question, 'do you think that Britain should cut its foreign aid budget?' said 'yes' compared to 48 percent who were against cuts. With the recession affecting spending, it seems that a slim majority think we need to look to home first, rather than abroad.
