Nottingham artist to celebrate gallery's fifth anniversary

ANNIVERSARY: Artist Lauren Paige

THE FOUNDER of a self-funded fine art gallery in Nottingham is gearing up to celebrate its fifth anniversary.

Lauren Paige, the founder, curator, art tutor, and resident artist of Lauren Paige Fine Art Gallery, will mark the occasion by launching the gallery’s exclusive Not just for Christmas collection.

This collection consists of hand painted/decorated glass baubles personalised for all occasions, including birthdays, christenings, weddings, anniversaries and other commemorative occasions and also for Christmas.

There are a number of baubles also that correspond to the stunning original and detailed painting’s in hand-made oils and acrylics Lauren creates, such as 2 Cats, Inner-visions, Life’s terrain and Painting in the Sun.

Lauren Paige Fine art Galley | Studio, founded in 2011 and formerly known as Paige & Sivier Art Gallery | Studio and Framers, houses over 100 original paintings - by the artist herself, on hand-made canvas with bespoke and hand-made/finished frames, thus boasting the only gallery of its kind across the Midlands and possibly further afield.

In addition, this quaint and innovative art gallery also has a transparency others do not – Lauren Paige paints many of her pieces of art on-site and welcomes visitors to circulate as she does so.

About Lauren Paige

Lauren Paige was born in Leicester and is a self-taught visual artist.

She started painting in 2008, and has held four solo exhibitions, including Lauren Paige Portraits at New Art Exchange, Nottingham.

I'm 2011, her painting Journey was shortlisted from over 1000 national submissions to the BBC's Show Me the Monet, where she got to the semi final stages of the televised show.

Both creative and academic, Lauren has written poetry and prose as a hobby since the age of 13 and later professionally.

She has formerly worked as a freelance writer, editor, proof-reader and researcher and also for the voluntary sector, and public sector in regional Infrastructure development.

She currently resides in Nottingham with her cat Gremlin.
