MANCHESTER UNITED's Paul Pogba has made Twitter history as the first Premier League footballer to have his own signature Twitter emoji on Friday. (Jan 13)

The news instantly became a hit on Twitter, becoming a trending topic worldwide in a matter of minutes.

Speaking on his new emoji, Pogba said. “I am happy and thankful for this opportunity,. Let's have fun and kick some ass at #pogba.”

Fans can unlock the bespoke Pogba emoji in all tweets, simply by using #Pogba.

The activity has garnered a huge response and the Frenchman is looking forward to seeing United fans around the world use the hashtag over the coming weeks.
