Pietersen to become a pirate of the Caribbean

HEADING TO TO THE SUN: Kevin Pietersen

ENGLAND OUTCAST Kevin Pietersen has signed up to play for the St Lucian side Zouks in the Caribbean Premier League.

His club team, Surrey, gave him permission to play in the second year of the domestic Twenty20 competition. It falls between the quarter-finals of the NatWest T20 Blast which starts on August 3rd, and the finals at Edgbaston on August 20th.

Pietersen was added to the draft and snapped up in the first round by the Zouks. He will be paid £60,000 for just three weeks work. His surprise sacking from the England side has allowed the 33-year-old to ply his trade worldwide.

Signing for the Caribbean side is the third deal he has signed recently after he agreed to play in the Indian Premier League for the Delhi Daredevils, and committed himself to club side Surrey.
