Police hunt for man who ‘stun gunned’ bouncer

SUSPECT: Unidentified male

GREATER MANCHESTER police have released a CCTV image of a man suspected of attacking a nightclub bouncer with a stun gun.

Police say that the man had become aggressive after being denied entry to the Liars Club in Manchester city centre on October 2.

Described as being mixed race, athletic, roughly 5,’ 10” and about 30- years-old with short dark hair and a green jacket, the man got into a black Mercedes after the incident, which occurred at roughly 12.45am.

"The consequences of this offence could have been much more severe and this violent man needs to be caught,” said Detective Sergeant Shagufta Khan.

"I would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call us."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 3540 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
