Police hunt south London rape suspect

A MAN suspected of raping a 15-year-old girl is being hunted by police as a public appeal has been launched to find him.

Detectives are seeking the man responsible for raping the child victim on Saturday (Nov 15) at about 8.30pm in Grove Park, Carshalton, south London.

The girl’s attacker was not known to her and police have described the suspect as “a black man, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, of broad build and approximately 5ft 10in tall.”

The force added that he was described as wearing a black hooded jacket and shorts.

Police said they have increased neighbourhood patrols in the area of the rape and that they will continue while the incident is investigated.
