AWARD-WINNING music producer Tru Blue, real name Ralston Wellington, was shot and killed last Friday (October 27).

The incident took place at his Maxfield Avenue home in St.Andrew, Jamaica. Explosions were heard in the surrounding area and he was later found to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The producer's younger sister, Marvette Haynes, offered tribute to Loop Jamaica.

"My brother didn't deserve to die like that, he was always helping people, he looked out for the little people. He was always about business; he worked with a lot of young artistes with his record label and this is so tragic and sad.

"My brother lived his life, he enjoyed his life. He went to Jamaica to promote music and help artistes and that's what he did, he died doing something that he loved."

Police are currently investigating this case.

In August 2017, Blue took home the 'Top New Producer' gong at the prestigious 21st Halipos Digital Music awards.
