SHOCKING: Image of young girl that father posted on Facebook

A FATHER has found himself at the centre of a police probe after posting a picture of his young daughter with her hands and feet bound beneath the caption, ‘This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back (sic).’

The shocking picture, which was uploaded on Facebook by 21-year-old Andre Curry in July, sparked an angry backlash from users on the social networking site.

This criticism was reignited when the image was added to websites TheDirty.com and The Smoking Gun earlier this week.

However, Je’Vanna Cobbins, a friend of Curry, told The Smoking Gun that the image, which shows the child with blue tape around her wrists, ankles and on her mouth, was a joke.

She said: “[He was] being playful with his child. People play with their child differently.”

The Chicago Police Department told MailOnline that they were tipped off to the photo and that they were looking into it.

A police spokesman said: “It's an ongoing investigation.”

Curry, who has since removed the photograph from Facebook, is yet to comment.
