Police search for woman seen 'flashing' young kids

WANTED: This woman reportedly flashed young children

A FEMALE flasher who exposed herself to a car full of young kids outside a supermarket is being sought by West Midlands Police.

The incident happened at about 8pm in the Asda supermarket car park in Cape Hill, Smethwick, in the West Midlands, in July.

Officers say that the woman approached the children's mother, while she was sat in her car, and "became argumentative."

Then the lady pulled down her black three-quarter length jacket and exposed her naked body to the woman and her four kids.

The children were aged 13, 12, 10 and four, and their mother, 33, chased the flasher and managed to take two clear pictures of the woman which police are releasing in a bid to trace the offender.

The suspect is described as black, and in her late 20s.

Sgt James Proffitt, of West Midlands Police, said the crime was being treated as a serious sexual offence, after leaving the children's mother shocked.

"The woman had no regard for the young children who were exposed to this kind of behaviour," he said.

"This is a very serious crime and we would appeal to anyone who may know this woman to call us. Why the woman did this still remains unclear and this is now an opportunity for her to contact us and explain."
