NORTH WEST London Independent school welcomed His Excellency Justice Anthony Carmona, S.C., 5th President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, to North West London Independent School yesterday.

The Acton-based school is part of the TCES Group, a social enterprise that educates young people between the ages of 7-19 years with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs or an Autistic Spectrum condition.

Co-Head Teachers Kevin Parker and Katrina Medley said: "His Excellency spoke with wisdom from a lifetime of leadership and vision and our pupils responded with active listening and questions that were challenging, intelligent and maturely crafted.”

CEO and Schools’ Proprietor Thomas Keaney reflected: “We are honoured by the visit of His Excellency and thrilled at the thoughts and gifts he shared with our pupils and staff."

The visit marked the first of its kind for North West London Independent School, as well as the first visit to a British school made by the country's president.
