Race group demands far-right speakers are barred UK entry

RALLY TALK: Campaigners want to deny EDL speakers from the US

AN ANTI-RACISM organisation has asked the British Government to stop two American campaigners from speaking at a far-right rally in the UK.

Campaigners from Hope Not Hate have written to Home Secretary Theresa May, requesting she bars Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer travelling to the UK and speaking at an English Defence League rally, scheduled for this Saturday (June 29).

The London-based group claim that Geller and Spencer are coming to the UK to incite hatred at a time of heightened tensions.

In 2010, Geller and Spencer co-founded the organisation, Stop the Islamization of America

The group has been labelled as a hate group by the Anti-Defamation League.

The EDL denied the claims and attacked Hope Not Hate’s accusations, describing them as a “parcel of lies and deceit”.
