NOT AFRAID: Rapper Azealia Banks has come out as a bisexual

A FEMALE rapper has confirmed that she is bisexual, it has been reported.

Up and coming musician, Azealia Banks, who revealed her sexuality during an interview, said she is not trying to mould her life based other people's expectations of her.

The 20-year-old said: "I'm not trying to be, like, the bisexual, lesbian rapper. I don’t live on other people’s terms," Banks told the New York Times.

On her Twitter page, Banks said couldn't understand why the media and public were so interested about her revelation.

"Who came out ? Was it not always clear that I enjoy time with other Mermaids?" she wrote.

The New York rapper has been earmarked as 'the next Nicki Minaj, with her first single, 212 already amassing close to 3.5 million views on YouTube.

She is also one of the very few people rapper Kanye West follows on Twitter.

Two weeks ago the young MC signed a deal with Universal Music and her first album will be released this spring.
