Red Devil becomes a Black Cat

ON THE MOVE: Wes Brown

WES BROWN has left Manchester United for Sunderland. The veteran defender joined the Black Cats for an undisclosed fee.

Brown has signed a four-year deal at Sunderland after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
Brown, who has 23 England caps, made his United debut in 1998.

The move ends Brown's 15-year association with Manchester United after he came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford.

Brown made 361 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson's side, but he has found first-team opportunities limited over the last few seasons.

The versatile Brown made just seven Premier League appearances for United last term which meant that he failed to win a winner’s medal.
