Rihanna: 'I'm happy to see Chris Brown's success'

STRONG: Rihanna says she has moved on from the altercation with ex-flame Chris Brown

RIHANNA SAYS she's "excited" to see that ex-boyfriend Chris Brown is having success in his music career again.

The Bajan beauty, who was assaulted by Brown in 2009, says that whilst she resented the 22-year-old for some time after the infamous incident, she is happy to know he is back on top.

"It was too much anger," the 23-year-old told Esquire magazine.

"I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career."

Following the February 8 assault, Brown was rejected by the music fraternity and his music was subsequently pulled from the playlist at various radio stations. However, his recent studio album F.A.M.E, which is an acronym for Forgiving All My Enemies, debuted at No. 1 in the charts and spawned hits Beautiful People and Look At Me Now.

HAPPIER TIMES: Rihanna with Chris Brown

"It's incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know?

"I really like the music he's putting out. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan," she said.

"I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have," she added.
