Rio Ferdinand looking for capital gains?

OPTIONS: Rio Ferdinand

ASTON VILLA are set to be rebuffed in their attempts to sign free agent Rio Ferdinand. The Midlands club have reportedly sounded out Rio Ferdinand over a possible move to Villa Park.

But the former England defender, also said to be a target of Galtasaray and LA Galaxy, is understood to be reluctant to make the move. Other suitors include Tottenham, QPR, Crystal Palace and West Ham where he started his career.

Ferdinand, who left Manchester United recently, has re-located his family to London so a move to any of the capital's top-flight clubs would appear to be a viable option.

Ferdinand, who will be a pundit for the BBC during the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, is still keen to play in the Premier League and even more so after a disappointing campaign at Old Trafford with the Red Devils.
