young talent: Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain celebrates scoring their third goal of the game

ARSENAL YOUNGSTER Alex Oxlade –Chamberlain scored two goals in the Gunners rousing 7-1 win over strugglers Blackburn Rovers. Top scorer Robin Van Persie grabbed a hat-trick, Mikel Arteta scored another on his return to the team after injury. There was also another goal for loanee Thierry Henry as he replaced Oxlade-Chamberlain in the dying moments of the game. Morten Gmst Pedersen scored Rovers consolation.


Bobby Zamora scored his first for new club, QPR, but couldn’t prevent his side losing 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolves came from behind to win, with goals coming from Matthew Jarvis and Kevin Doyle.


James McClean’s second Premier League goal on the hour was enough to give Sunderland the points at the Brittania Stadium. Stoke had Robert Huth sent off as the home side lost their third game in a row.


Victor Anichebe’s late goal split the points between Wigan and Everton, after Phil Neville’s 75th minute own goal.


Norwich continued their good Premier League form with a 2-0 win over Bolton. The Canaries left it late to grab goals through Andrew Surman and Anthony Pilkington.


Three goals in five minutes saw Swansea beat West Brom with goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Danny Graham. Marc-Antoine Fortune scored for Albion.
