Second youth charged with murder after Stockwell bus crash

MURDER VICTIM: Babafemi Junaid

POLICE HAVE charged a second teenager with the murder of a man in south London after the victim was involved in a bus crash in his car following the attack.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murdering Babafemi Junaid, 22, who died on February 7 when he managed to get into his car after he was stabbed but soon collided with a bus in Stockwell.

Detectives have already charged another man – Evan Edwards, 18, of Stockwell Gardens Estate, with Junaid’s murder. The defendant appeared at Camden Green Magistrates court on Saturday (Feb 15).

The 17-year-old defendant is to appear today (Feb 17) at Croydon Youth Court.

Police believe Junaid was stabbed in Clapham Road, some 50 yards from the scene of the collision, before getting into his car and colliding with the bus.
