Shocking image depicts black player being shot [EXPLICIT]

TALENTED: Marvin Sordell plays for both Bolton Wanderers and England Under 21s

LAST NIGHT England Under 21 player Marvin Sordell was on the receiving end of alleged racist abuse in Serbia but domestic fans targeted the footballer in a vicious online attack.

A Facebook user published a photo of Sordell portraying blood on his face and chest while a super-imposed image of a first-person-shooter handgun aims at his head.

The threatening image comes after Sordell claimed Millwall fans racially insulted him when Bolton visited the Den on October 6. The photograph posted on Mark Zuckerberg’s online creation is clearly linked to the 21-year-old’s allegations of racism, for it was accompanied by the words: ‘dont (sic) f**k with the millwall.’

The violent picture and offensive words were posted on Sordell’s fan page around 6pm, October 8.

Sordell, who represented Team GB at London 2012, is understood to be aware of the image and message.

Both the FA and Metropolitan police investigated the claims of racism at the Den made by the Bolton striker. The player said other team-mates, including Darren Pratley, Benik Afobe and Lee Chung-yong, were also subjected to racist abuse.

After the match, Sordell took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his feelings on the matter.

“It’s 2012 in England and people are still shouting racial abuse at a football game!? Chungy, Pratts, Benik and I had all sorts of things said to us.”

He further wrote: “The police were standing yards away and did nothing. Funniest thing is, if I had come on and scored and gave them some back, I would be the one who got fined.”

The south London team did not hesitate to launch their own enquiry into the claims, using CCTV footage and talking to possible witnesses in the ground at the time.

Millwall has promised to handout lifetime bans to any person caught racially abusing players or fellow fans.
