Shonda Rhimes to televise Luvvie Ajayi's cult book

NIGERIAN-BORN best-selling author Luvvie Ajayi has made plans with TV writer extraordinaire and fellow author Shonda Rhimes, who wants to turn her book I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual into a series for cable.

An example of how to be a success in several disciplines at the same time, Ajayi describes herself as a "speaker and digital strategist who thrives at the intersection of comedy, technology and activism" as well as a New York Times best-selling author.

Rhimes' production company Shondaland has acquired the rights to the book, which is to be developed with ABC studios for a television audience. The move will no doubt be advantageous to both Ajayi and Rhimes, the latter responsible for several hit dramas including Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder and Grey's Anatomy as well as popular autobiographical personal development book, Year of Yes.
