OFFENSIVE: Rapper Soulja Boy's new song rips the US army

RAPPER SOULJA Boy has caused controversy with his new single Let's Be Real.

In the song, which was uploaded on YouTube on Aug 29, just over a week before the 10th anniversary of 9/11, he raps, "F**k the FBI and the army troops ... fighting for what? Be your own man ... I'll be flying through the clouds with green like I'm Peter Pan."

Gossip site TMZ reports that a military veteran, Fred A. Flores, was angered by the song and told the site he found it offensive.

"[The rap] is very irresponsible," Flores stated.

"Especially for a person who is an entertainer for the youth of our country," he added.

He added that the song was even more offensive as the atrocity, which killed 2,985 people died, including police officers, was approaching.

The army veteran called for the rapper to apologise to all armed forces.
