WEBSITE: The Voice Online
BY: Aminata Kamara
IT READS: “I believe this trial was about restoring hope in the public. It was about showing people that the police are there to protect us, and as said by a reporter for the BBC News, the verdict will “Show the black community that the justice system has changed.” But that’s all it is… A SHOW!!!”

HEADLINE: Stephen Lawrence: Justice Delayed is Justice Denied
WEBSITE: Lee Jasper Official Blog
BY: Lee Jasper
IT READS: Had the police simply done their job in 1993 all those responsible would have been arrested and convicted. Whilst they can say that new forensic evidence made today’s guilty verdict possible, the fact is their racism cost the Lawrence family justice when they needed it most: 19 years ago. That insidious racism has condemned them to a lifetime of misery and years of endless campaigning.

WEBSITE: Guardian
BY:Dave Hill
IT READS: “It's worth remembering that it was the community in Eltham who gave up the names of [Gary] Dobson and [David] Norris in the first place. It was the local Metropolitan Police who decided that the death of a black man wasn't worth investigating properly, not the people of Eltham.”

WEBSITE: The Sofia Echo
BY:Gabriel Hershman
IT READS: “No one doubts that the murderers of Stephen Lawrence were vile, racist thugs. But the coverage of the case has focused on the killers' hatred of black people as if this were the only issue of relevance. The subtext is that London is awash with racist psychopaths.”

HEADLINE: Justice for Stephen Lawrence, pt. 2
WEBSITE: Global Post
BY: Michael Goldfarb
IT READS: “This was an historic case and a landmark in Britain's evolution into a multi-ethnic society. But it was also a landmark in legal history. The key to the successful prosecution of Stephen's killers was the end of "double jeopardy," the 800 year-old law that prevents people from being tried for the same case twice”

HEADLINE: Why Stephen Lawrence killers were sentenced as juveniles and under old law
WEBSITE: UK Human Rights Blog
BY: Adam Wagner
IT READS: “An unenviable task for the judge, and no doubt one which will lead to criticism of the sentencing regime. But it would be difficult for the law to be changed to allow for retrospective punishment, which is more severe than it would have been at the time.”

IT READS: “Our Police are still corrupt, still racist and the CPS is still incompetent. Perhaps the one good thing to come out of it is that an acquittal through the incompetence of the prosecution is no longer final.”

HEADLINE: Did the Stephen Lawrence do more harm than good?
WEBSITE: Wonko’s World
BY: Wonko
IT READS: “It is because of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry that an accusation of racism when committing a crime automatically makes that crime worse than if it was committed against a white person. It is because of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry that the police have to consult “the community” if they want to do anything that specifically targets members of an ethnic minority – even if that something is a terrorist raid. It is because of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry that black police officers have special status and are fast-tracked for promotions to fill diversity quotas. It is because of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry that police are criticised for stop and search statistics that show them disproportionately targeting black people despite said statistics proving that black people commit a disproportionate number of crimes.”
