Suge Knight released from hospital three days after shooting

RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL: Suge Knight

MUSIC MOGUL Suge Knight has been released from hospital just three days after being shot six times in a West Hollywood nightclub.

The 49-year-old was hit five times in the stomach and chest and once in the arm in an apparent assassination attempt at Chris Brown’s pre-VMA party on Sunday (Aug 24).

According to TMZ, Knight left Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning (Aug 27) and is healing “amazingly well.”

His spokesman said he left at around 6am, and that he has been given medical advice that he will not need any rehab treatment, just some follow up visits.

Despite an investigation being launched, Knight is refusing to cooperate with the police over the incident.

It has been reported that Knight was the intended target in the shootout, which also injured two others, including 19-year-old model Megan Hawkins and a 33-year-old man.

"Video shows the suspect with a handgun firing at Knight [and] striking the two other victims who were in his vicinity," Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. John Corina told CBSLA.

Roads around the nightclub were immediately sealed off by police, as the nightclub was evacuated, with several partygoers detained for questioning.

The day after the shooting, Knight’s family released a statement asking the public to keep the hip-hop entrepreneur in their prayers.

"The family of Suge Knight asks that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media.

"Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he's human. He's done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that."

Knight, the co-founder of Death Row Records with Dr. Dre and the rapper The D.O.C., is no stranger to the effects of gun violence.

His friend Tupac Shakur was shot multiple times during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996.

Knight also suffered a gunshot wound to the leg during a shooting at a 2005 pre-VMA party, hosted by rapper Kanye West.
