BLACK BRITISH supermodels Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn have teamed up for the first ever fashion campaign together.

Dunn, 24, who has always cited the 44-year-old fashion icon as a role model, was given the opportunity to work with her idol as the pair paired up for Burberry's all new spring/summer 2015 campaign.

Though Campbell, has 20 years of experience over Dunn, both have been hailed as supermodels, and both have campaigned to get more black models on the fashion catwalks.

Both London-born, they were each scouted at the age of 15.

The new campaign marks Campbell's second time as the face of Burberry, the first time being in 2001 when she starred alongside friend Kate Moss, and the fourth for Dunn, who has become a "favourite" of the brand.

"Naomi and Jourdan - two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign. It is, as always, a real privilege to work with them," said Christopher Bailey, Burberry chief creative and CEO.

In the new campaign clip, the black models are seen posing in a range of the fashion brand's colourful coats and dresses, holding handbags bearing Burberry's distinctive plaid pattern.

The models are joined in the Mario Testino-shot, Christopher Bailey-directed campaign by British musicians George Barnett and George Le Page.

"It is always a pleasure to work with Mario Testino; we came up in the business together 28 years ago, so have an understanding and ease in working together," Naomi said in a statement.

"His photography is special and the results are always stunning. And I was thrilled to work with Jourdan Dunn for the first time - it was a lot of fun."
