Swizz Beatz brings free three-day art fest to London

"EVERYBODY'S EMBRACED": Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) with an artist's work at the No Commission Art Fair in Miami, which will arrive in the UK this week

CONTEMPORARY ART fans and Hip-Hoppers alike will convene for Swizz Beatz' (real name Kasseem Dean) visit to London from the 8-10 December, when he will bring his No Commission Art Fair to the capital for the first time; with the support of Bacardi.

In its third year, the event pays homage to artists from a range of disciplines including painters to those who create light installations:

"The artists keep 100% of what they sell", shares Dean.

Visitors to the three-day event get to enjoy the showcased art work as well as a concert featuring Dean and UK-based Grime princess Lady Leshurr among other performers - all for free.

Dean's foray into curating art stemmed from his love of collecting pieces privately. With two No Commission fairs under his belt in Miami and New York already, the Hip-Hop and R&B producer seems to be sharing new passions with his fans who have followed his career from his work behind the desk on high-energy anthems for Jay-Z; to several rap releases featuring his own vocals before his marriage to fellow artist Alicia Keys.

Dean says that No Commission is the only vehicle that doesn't charge artists to exhibit and by extension, promote, their work and that he is looking forward to supporting the London-based creators geared-up to work with him at this weekend's event:

"This is an amazing place for creativity. The UK has always been my home away from home".
