Taraji P Henson slams 50 Cent for online 'bullying'

WAR OF WORDS: 50 Cent and Taraji P Henson

EMPIRE STAR Taraji P Henson had some stern words for rapper 50 Cent after he took a jab at the award-winning show and its latest addition, his former girlfriend Vivica A Fox.

The New York rapper, who stars and executive produces rival show Power, took to Instagram to to post an unflattering side-by-side photo of Fox in an attempt to promote Power and diss the competition.

“I don’t know why people would want to cross me. I would stay out of my way if I wasn’t me because I’m gonna keep winning,” the rapper wrote in the caption.

“I think they do it for attention, then they get more attention then they want. I told you POWER was the show to watch. Now Empire lol forget it.”

Henson, who stars as Empire’s music matriarch Cookie Lyon, hit back branding 50 Cent a "bully".

She wrote: “I prob should leave this alone but I despise bullies!!! Never understood that #Crabsinabarrel syndrome. But at least some aren’t falling for the silly BS!!! I don’t know about y’all but I REALLY love to see OTHER ppl win. So sad. USE YOUR “POWER” to unite ppl and uplift us ALL!!! #DoBetter #ThereIsALWAYSroomForAll @50cent.”

The star, who celebrates her 45th birthday next week (Sep 11), didn’t miss the opportunity to throw a thinly-veiled diss at 50 Cent’s Power, which is yet to secure any major award nominations despite being in its third season.

Empire, which is approaching its third season, has achieved four nominations including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Henson added: “A lil advice cause I am proud of your accomplishments black MAN. Maybe your karma is blocking your blessings. #Emmys.”
