Teen arrested following west London shooting

POLICE HAVE arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder following a non-fatal shooting in North Kensington, west London.

Detectives from Trident, the Met’s special unit for investigating gun crime within the black community, made the arrest yesterday afternoon (Dec 22) at an address in nearby South Kilburn.

On Wednesday (Dec 21), a 21-year old man was with a group of five to 10 friends when he was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the abdomen, in Third Avenue. It is believed the shots were fired from a vehicle.

He was taken to a central London hospital. He remains in a stable condition.

Detective Chief Inspector Mick Foote from Trident said: "I would urge anyone who saw the shooting, or may have information about those involved, to come forward.

“I am particularly keen to trace a group of young men who we believe may have been close to the scene at the time.”
