AMBITIONS: Ashley Theopane

BRITISH LIGHT-welterweight champion Ashley 'Treasure' Theophane has joined forces with Hatton Promotions.
Theophane believes his new promotional deal can deliver him the exposure and world title fight that he craves, as he aims to take on the likes of Amir Khan.

The three-year promotional deal with Hatton Promotions, makes Theophane the fourth British title holder boxing under Ricky Hatton's banner, joining Martin Murray (middleweight), Anthony Crolla (lightweight) and Gary Buckland (super-featherweight). Theophane 31, has a record of 30 wins, 4 losses and one draw with 8 KOs to date has a professional.

The stylish Theopane has been self managed for most of his career and having mixed at a high level, with many of his fights in America, he has learnt his trade on the tough circuit over the pond and feels it is time to get the opportunities he deserves.

The Londoner spoke to other UK based promoters before making his decision to team up with Hatton, but told said he is confident under Hatton's experienced guidance, he can achieve his ambitions and fight the best out there such as fellow Brit Khan, the WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion.
