Tupac tops prison playlist

TOP MAN: Tupac

LATE RAPPER Tupac Shakur is the most popular music star in prisons, it has been revealed.

The Calfornia Love hit-maker, who was gunned down in 1996, aged 25, topped the National Prison Radio (NPR) most-requested playlist holding off competition from dancehall star Vybz Kartel.

UK rapper K Koke came in at No.3, followed by Rihanna, who was the only woman to feature in the chart.

Music rival Biggie Smalls took the No.9 spot and reggae legend Bob Marley was in at No.14.

NPR is available to all 84,000 inmates in Britain.

An NPR show host said: “Listening to something heavy can be a healthy release from prison life.”
