Two Black men wanted for violent chain attack

POLICE ARE trying to trace two black men in connection with a violent attack that left a man a broken leg and major internal bleeding.

The men, thought to be in their 20s, are believed to have tried to steal Andrew Erotokritos’ £3000 gold chain while he was washing his car in Streatham, south London on July 1.

It is thought that they approached Mr Erotokritos in a green Peugeot 206 and yanked at his chain through the passenger side window. When the chain failed to break, the suspects sped off – holding onto the chain, which was still around Mr Erotokritos’ neck.

The 54-year-old the South London Press: “The car passenger window was open and I was pulled into the car with the chain.”

“Then the driver speed away at incredibly high speed with my head, neck and chest trapped. My torso was dangling from the car with my legs and feet dragged along the road surface,” he said.

“At no time did the driver or passenger have any concern for my life.

“I believe they would’ve killed me for my chain,” he said

Detective Constable Nathan Sribalan, of Merton burglary and robbery team, said: “This was a violent and unprovoked attack.”
