The two businessmen with a passion for fashion


IF YOU were busy doing other things or still believe London is the epicentre of all of the cool and hip stuff, you might have missed the Manchester Fashion Industry presents SS17 RETHINK: PINK event earlier this month.

For those in the know however, it would have been difficult not to be impressed by the efforts of Domain Esdale and Remi Akande, the co-founders of MCR Fashion Industry.

Aiming to create a hype, buzz and recognition for fashion their city deserves and desires, and also reaching out to more audiences and brands across the UK by hosting ‘extraordinary fashion based events and networking opportunities, created with the aim of bringing together the city’s thriving retail, fashion and beauty community’, Akande told Life and Style they were overwhelmed with the turnout and positive response they have had to this years event which took place at the Menagerie Restaurant and The Milton Club.

“MCR Fashion Industry’s ability to stage multiple expertly crafted live events is unsurpassed,” Akande enthused.

“The evening has brought an overwhelming reposnse, we’ve worked hard on building an incredible fashion community in Manchester, that has united people together and brought fashion enthusiasts from across the UK to our great city.

“There were over 600 guests in attendance, we’re always grateful for the support we receive and our SS17 event celebrated the last three years in the most stylish and memorable way with our incredible catwalk show featuring The Couture Club, CC Couture, Charlotte Tilbury, Thameen Fragrance, Regis Hair, Stitches Alterations & Charlotte Tilbury makeup.”

Each fashion show MCR Fashion Industry organise is based around the fashion seasons autumn/winter, spring/summer and the biggest trends which have been forecasted.

The duo always encourage guests to dress up and embrace the latest fashion. SS17's biggest standout trend, was pink ‘a daring and eye capturing colour, we knew we had a perfect match,’ Akande said.

Looking to the future he added: “Our marketing has seen a national reach captivating audiences and firmly putting any MCR Fashion Industry occasion at the forefront of the calendar.

“We hope to deliver more small to large scale events, our clients and demand for our services is already growing, with our ability to arrange more intimate affairs which differ from out seasonal events, we have already been sought after and collaborated with the likes of Topshop and Armani. Expect more from MCR Fashion Industry very soon.”
