MURDERERS: Loen Burton, left, and Christopher Walters

A COURT has found two men guilty murdering a man who was watching a football match in a northwest London pub.

Christopher Walters, 23, and Loen Burton, 17, were both convicted for the murder of 25-year-old Luke Fitzpatrick yesterday (May 16) at The Old Bailey.

A third person, Abdi Aziz Hassan, 17, was found guilty of manslaughter.

Also in relation to the murder, three other men were found guilty of violent disorder – Mustafa Bereima, 20, Ali Abdallah, 20, and Hamadi Abdallah, 26.

In addition, Raphael De Jesus, 25, was found guilty of assisting an offender.

All seven guilty men will be sentenced on June 7.

FATALLY STABBED: Luke Fitzpatrick

Fitzpatrick was in the Ox and Gate pub in Neasden on May 19, 2012, with his father watching the Champions League final between Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

The guilty parties entered the pub armed with knives and sticks and fatally attacked Fitzpatrick and also his father, who was trying to help his dying son.

Detective chief inspector Tim Duffield, the investigating officer, said: “Luke had no quarrel with these men. He was a hard-working and immensely popular young man who paid with his life for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“I want to make it clear that the hunt for those responsible will not stop with these verdicts and I would urge anyone with information to contact the police incident room in confidence on 0208 358 0400 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
