CONTROVERSY: Two south London police officers charged with theft
TWO METROPOLITAN police officers have been charged with theft, a spokesperson has confirmed.
PC Ian Scouler, 45, and PC Kenneth Potter, 29, both from from Plumstead Police Station in south London, have been accused of stealing from the Metropolitan Police service [MPS] after a number of items from the force were reported missing.
Potter has also been accused of receiving stolen goods.
Earlier this week, police staff, Stephen and Elizabeth Bowers, were charged with theft and money laundering, as well as handling stolen goods.
They have both been bailed to attend to City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Feb 3.
Potter and Scouler are currently suspended from their positions and have been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on February 6.
