UK marks 20 years since Princess Diana's death

TRIBUTES: Flowers and a message fastened to The Golden Gates of Kensington Palace on August 26

THE NATION is in mourning all over again today, as we look back on Princess Diana's untimely 1997 demise 20 years on.

The Princess died in a Paris car crash along with her boyfriend, Harrods heir Dodi Fayed and their driver Henri Paul; who was being chased by paparazzi on motorbikes.

Leaving behind sons William and Harry, who have been vocal about their loss in a series of recent interviews including those featured in the ITV documentary Diana, our Mother: Her Life and Legacy.
