TRIBUTE: Muhammad Ali
THE VOICE will publish a special souvenir issue this Thursday (June 9), which features the life and career of the world’s greatest sportsman, Muhammad Ali.
The icon died on June 3, aged 74, after a short spell in hospital after respiratory issues.
“We’re doing this special edition as a tribute to a man that touched the lives of millions around the world and who was truly the greatest in and out of the ring,” The Voice’s sports editor Rodney Hinds said.
“As the country’s leading and longest-serving black newspaper, it is only right that we pay homage to a man who championed the causes of his people – sometimes at the expense of himself.”
