COURT: Vybz Kartel drug trial begins today

THE DRUG trial of embattled dancehall star, Vybz Kartel, is set to begin today.

The Romping Shop hit-maker, will answer charges of illegal possession of cannabis at the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court, in Jamaica this afternoon.

Kartel, real name is Adidja Palmer, was arrested in a New Kingston hotel room last September, following a raid by officers.

While police have not confirmed the amount of cannabis found on Kartel, they claimed to have seized a 'quantity' of the drug.

Kartel is also set to appear before the courts later this year on murder, conspiracy and to perverting the course of justice charges.

They might as well just drop

They might as well just drop the weed charge he got enough on his plate with the murders. Its just a waste of court time and money and its hardly in the Jamaican public interest where ganja is common place in society.
