New US study reveals wealth gap between blacks and whites are at record high

WEALTH: New study has found that white Americans are 20 times wealthier than black Americans

A NEW study has found that white Americans are 20 times wealthier than black ones.

The report, based on US Census data, found the average wealth of white US households in 2009 was $113,149 compared with $5,677 for black households.

The recession has been blamed for widening gap, as the net worth of black households declined by 53 percent since 2005.

The study by the Pew Research Center also stated that the wealth gap between races was the widest it has been since the government began publishing statistics by ethnicity in 1984.

It's no surprise! Whites are probably busy working while blacks are busy in church, praising God, so obviously whites r going to have more wealth at the end of the day - it's common sense!

I agree with lots of the above comments.

It all starts with parents taking an interest in their childrens education. I to am a black person who gets involved with Jewish people and can see how important education is to them.As another poster has correctly stated they place great emphasis on their childrens education. Just look at the numbers of black children who go to at places of learning such as , Cambridge, Oxford,Eaton and Harrow. The numbers numbers are woeful compared to ,English, Jewish and Asian children. Sure you get parents of the aforementioned group who don't really care but compared to black parents they are far,far less.

It's not racist nonsense ! Blacks and whites maybe equal in some sporting activities such as;

* American Basketball/Football and The Music and Film industries

however when it comes to industies such as;
* Banking/Hedge Funds/Finacial Investing ( White Jewish people)
* IT(Mark Zuckerberg/Facebook
*Sergey Brin/Larry Page /Google
*Steve Jobs/Apple
* Bill Gates/Microsoft
*Gas/electric and mining

White people are running those multi-billion dollar businesses. I will also tell you why. As a general (note I say general) especially in the UK white parents place greater emphasis on making sure their children get good exam results so that they can then get a place at university which in turn leads too better paid professional jobs.Pro-rata , there are far more white children who go to private schools and university( compared to black children.
Pro-rata ,I still get the impression that far more black parents compared to white parents take less interest in ensuring that their children not only study hard during school hours but making sure the study for an hour or 2 after school as well. Again I'll tell you why. I'm a black person and I have a lot of (wealthy) Jewish clients. When I tell you that education to them is EVERYTHING I mean it. When the Jewish children get home from school, the parents will let them watch a little bit of TV for about 1 hour , then the TV is turned OFF and the children have to do EXTRA studying.....MONDAY to SUNDAY.

Where are the black versions of the rich hedge fund managers in the city?
Where are the black versions of Mark Zuckerberg?
Where are the black versions of Sergey Brin or Larry Page?
Where are the black versions of Steve Jobs?
Where are the black versions of Bill Gates?
So before you say "racist nonsense"open your eyes and look around you because it's a tired boring answer.
