GONE: Late singer Whitney Houston
ITEMS BELONGING to Whitney Houston will be put up for auction next month, it has been announced.
A pair of faux pearl earrings and a vest, the late star wore in blockbuster movie The Bodyguard, will go to the highest bidder during the Hollywood Legends auction. A black dress, valued at $1,000, belonging to the star will also go under the hammer.
"It proves a point that these items, they're an investment," Darren Julien, celebrity auctioneer told AP.
He continued: "You buy items just like a stock. Buy at the right time and sell at the right time, and they just increase in value."
"Houston is someone who’s going to maintain a collectability. For people who are fans of Whitney Houston and never would have had a chance to meet her and never got to talk to her, these are items that literally touched a part of her life. They are a way to relate to her or be a part of her life without having known her," he added.
The auction will take place on March 31 and April 1 and fans can bid online, by phone or in person.
