A CRAZY woman is being held in custody after attempting to eat a four-month-old baby boy during a violent attack.

Natasha Hubbard, who is described by police as having “a violent criminal history”, is believed to have snatched the baby from his stroller, and began assaulting him.

A witness to the downtown Los Angeles incident claims he saw Hubbard grab the baby and slam him into the back of a truck.

The child’s mother Adriana Miranda, 29, and her sister fought Hubbard off and managed to get the baby Alexander to safety.

The 36-year-old suspect who was out of jail on probation over a previous assault and weapons charges, told police that she attacked the infant because she wanted to break the baby’s arm off and eat it.

LAPD Lt. Paul Vernon said: “If a judge finds her [Hubbard] mentally incompetent they can put her in a mental hospital until she’s deemed mentally competent to stand trial.”

He added: “She’s clearly a danger to others.”

The baby is believed to have only suffered minor injuries, and is expected to make a full recovery from the attack.

Hubbard’s bail is set at $55,000.
