SECRET: Women are believed to carry an extra pair of sexy lingerie in their purses
HALF OF SINGLE women are said to carry an extra pair of sexy underwear in their handbags, in case a date is successful, a study has revealed.
The survey, commissioned by Sainsbury’s Lingerie Buyer, found out that a staggering 43 percent of those polled said they went the extra mile to be prepared.
The research also revealed that size had little to say on what underwear women buy as it showed that slim women are most likely to wear sensible cotton pants while those of a size 16 prefer sexier matching sets.
"This survey really highlights that women are embracing their curves and feeling confident about their figures," Toni-Ann Lindsay, at Sainsbury’s Lingerie Buyer said.
She added: "You might expect classic model-sized ladies to be more confident and adventurous. However it seems that the curvier ladies are more likely to choose sexier and chic underwear this Valentine’s Day."
Meanwhile women of size 14 are said to most likely wear just a suspender belt or to not even bother with underwear at all, and choose to go commando.
As Valentine's Day looms over us, the research found out that more than half of British women (54 percent), will don special underwear on a date and a third are said to have disclosed they will buy new sexy lingerie.
