BLACK FEMALE entrepreneurs are being invited to attend ‘Black Girls In Business Event’.
The event, which is free, gives entrepreneurs in the making a chance to rub shoulders with the movers and shakers within the black community.
After the initial success of the ‘Black Boys In Business’ it was decided that the female equivalent was to be created. The event has been put together by the Building United Communities and g.a.p (growing aspiring people). Caribbean food will be available for sale along with stalls providing information, support and guidance in business and community initiatives.
12 inspirational female speakers have been booked for the night with comedienne Tameka Empson, of Three Non Blondes fame, to be hosting the event.
Paulette West MBE, BUC Ambassador & Andrew Green, BUC Founder spoke highly of the initiative, saying, “Building United Communities aims to give recognition to our Business Leaders, Community Champions and Role Models. We are looking to identify the next generation of heroes and she-roes and provide a platform to showcase their talents, experience and expertise to educate, empower, inspire and motivate others to follow in their footsteps.”
‘Black Girls in Business Event’ is a great way to get your business career started, as numerous networking opportunities will be available to all who attend. Even though the event is targeted towards black females all are welcome.
The event takes place at The Bernie Grant Arts Centre in north London from 6pm-1130 March 9.
