SEND OFF: Black funerals have more passion?
In regards to the article ‘Keeping Black Funeral Traditions Alive Online’ (Issue June 14-20) I think Caribbean and African funerals remind my (white English) community what a funeral can and should be.
Expressing how you feel and getting stuck into the spade and shoulder work -- doing what needs to be done, saying what needs to be said. Sad. Joyous. Demonstrative. The way it should be.
