CELEBRITIES HIT the red carpet for Alicia Keys' annual Keep a Child Alive black ball gala in New York city yesterday (Nov 3).
Stars including Mary J. Blige, Usher and Queen Latifah were in attendance to support their fellow singer's charity organisation.
A reported $400,000 was raised through auction at the eight-year-old event, which aims to help HIV/AIDS victims in Africa and India.
"We all deserve a chance at life," Keys, who attended the event with husband Swizz Beatz, said during an interview on the red carpet.
"Tonight really goes to the people. It really goes to the people that we serve, so that they can have the medicine to live," she added.
