A HACKNEY mother organised an evening vigil for tragic teenager, Trayvon Martin, in the east London borough on Wednesday night.

Molly Mulready-Jones, whose son is just five years younger than 17-year-old Trayvon, who shot dead by a neighbourhood watchman, said she felt compelled to do something after watching his grieving parents on the news.

“When I saw Trayvon’s mother on the news, my heart broke for her. My son is 12, he is just five years younger than Trayvon. He goes to the shop all the time. I don’t know what I would do if one day he didn’t come back,” said Mulready-Jones, who also has two young daughters.

The vigil was attended by Diane Abbott, MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington and Hackney Cllr, Michael Jones.
