Posted: 23/01/2012 01:10 PM

SEVERAL VOICE readers in Lewisham and surrounding areas in southeast London came out on January 21 for the first of a series of community outreach sessions entitled Around Black Britain .

They aired their views, gave feedback on The Voice and told their stories directly to Voice reporters and other staff members during the session, held from 11.00 am to 2.00pm inside the Lewisham Civic Suite, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU.

The outreach, which will see Voice staff meeting readers in venues across Britain to hear burning issues in their communities, are part of activities to celebrate Britain's best-selling black newspaper's 30th anniversary.
