GOOD HAIR or bad hair? Who decides which is which?
Noliwe Rooks, author and professor at Princeton University, says a lot of ideas of beauty and femininity lay in our hair.
"The idea of cutting our hair or not having long and flowy hair would lead a lot of black women to believe they are disappointing the men in their lives," she said.
Dr Janet Taylor, a clinical psychiatrist, added: "hair reflect on how black women feel regardless of its texture."
