SOME OF the Bible's best loved stories, including the life of Jesus and the Lord's Prayer, have been translated into Jamaican Patois.
Entitled Di Jamiekan Nyuu Testiment , this New Testament version, supported by the Bible Society of the West Indies and its counterpart in the UK, was launched at Jamaica’s High Commission in London on October 9.
Here is a video from the launch, which was attended by The Voice’s Trudy Simpson, UK based Jamaicans and scores of clergy, including representatives from the Jamaican Bible’s co-developers, the Bible Society of the West Indies and its UK Bible Society partners.
The Bible, which will also be available in audio form, can be pre-ordered at shop.biblesociety.org.uk/jnt. It can be bought outright on November 12.
