THE VOICE's Marc Wadsworth came to Diane Abbott's defence following the Twitter race row she was involved in.

Speaking to Sky News, Wadsworth said the exchange was a 'chat between two black women' discussing colonialism and the history of racism.

"I would have said it differently with 'some white leaders have played divide and rule' because that's a historical fact," he said.
