UK SINGER Nathan took matters into his own hands yesterday by posting a video defending his decision to enter ITV1's X Factor.
The Come Into My Room star, who was signed to a major label in 2005, yet still entered the competition open for unsigned talent, told critics, "you don't know my story."
He said: "Since 2005, I have been doing everything myself. All of the videos, all of the albums... Just through me and my manager funding my project and getting investors to invest
He added: "I have not been signed for at least seven years. Everything I have done has been independent."
Nathan, who enjoyed chart success in 2005, was controversially axed from the popular talent show by judge and former Pussycat Doll singer, Nicole Scherzinger.
